PHOTOGRAPHY & VIDEO WORKSHOP WITH LEWIS WEINBERG
Get the most out of your digital photos and videos.
Historic landscapes, stunning natural light, and a mode de vie that takes life’s pleasures as they come provide an incomparable setting for the budding photographer or videographer. Dordogne is far off the beaten path; it’s original, it’s authentic, it’s photogenic.
You will explore simple techniques to enhance your images and discover new ways of seeing.
During the course of this workshop, you will photograph and make video journals of a variety of magnificent sites. Landscape, nature, history and people will provide the subject for your daily video journals and the book you will make from your best photographs.
Necessary equipment: A video-capable digital still camera. Tripod optional.
Computer access and software will be provided.
Lewis Weinberg is a video & new media artist whose work has been shown internationally since 1977. A teacher and educator for the past 15 years, his previous career was in Television as a producer and editor. His latest video was shown on Public Television as part of the MNTV Showcase at the end of December 2010 and featured at the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis in spring and summer of 2010. Currently Lewis is working on two video projects about Memory and Identity.
Lewis speaks fluent French, loves the Dordogne region, and has had a home there for the past sixteen years.

The workshop price includes:
- Transportation from the Angoulême train station to Le Maraval and back.
- 7 nights lodging.
- 7 breakfasts, 6 lunches and 4 dinners.
- Transport and visits to local markets and attractions (including any entry fees).
- A 20-40 page, hard cover, full color book of your photographs.
- A DVD of your video journal.
